The first live photos of HTC’s successor to the One flagship, currently known as the M8 have leaked from a Russian site that have since been pulled, as HTC is proactively looking out for leaks, to the point that it is responding to every leak to confirm or deny the veracity of leaked images.
The successor is said to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, 5” 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, a dual 5MP camera assembly for the front and main cameras, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with the manufacturer’s Sense overlay along with a new swiping gesture that removes the on-screen Android buttons. The photos that were removed from the Russian site are below. HTC is expected to officially unveil the M8 in a press event in March in New York City.
