After first being rolled out for the Wi-Fi only version earlier this month, Google has started rolling out Android KitKat to the LTE and 3G-powered versions of the Nexus 7 spanning the 2012 and 2013 models. KitKat adds the new unified Hangouts app for SMS, MMS and Gtalk, improves UI performance thanks to Project Svelte, boosts RAM management and improves multi-tasking. The new Phone app with local search capabilities is included, plus the new Google Photos gallery is also included with the update. KitKat is also being pushed out to the Nexus 4 with all of the above improvements.
