Following the outage and subsequent restoration of LTE services this morning, Verizon has delayed the launch of the Samsung Droid Charge to an unspecified later date. The smartphone was originally slated for launch this morning, but was delayed at the last minute due to the LTE network outage, which affected activations of LTE devices. While the phone could have been activated for CDMA service only via provisioning menu settings, current activation procedures require the provisioning of LTE service first before provisioning for CDMA service can begin. Verizon has yet to confirm a new launch date for the Droid Charge.
