MetroPCS has signed an agreement with Wi-Fi provider Boingo Wireless to preload its Boingo Wi-Fi app on its Android lineup in the LG Optimus S and Huawei Ascend with more devices to be added in the future. The service will cost an additional $7.95/month for unlimited access to Boingo’s network of hotspots worldwide in lieu of nationwide EVDO access, as MetroPCS only offers EVDO in select markets and has decided to focus on LTE as its high speed data option.
