Verizon has launched a teaser page for the forthcoming successor to the Motorola Droid in the Droid X by Motorola. The device will feature a massive 4.3 inch 853×480 resolution capacitive touch display underpinned by a 1GHz Snapdragon chipset and running Android 2.1 with an updated version of the Motoblur user interface.
The Droid X will also be the first Motorola Android device to offer 720p output via HDMI, with the EVO 4G being the only other device to currently offer the capability. The phone will be officially launched during a press event being held next week on the 23rd with availability set for July according to the latest internal documentation.
