Windows Mobile Daylight Savings Time

Microsoft has issued a Daylight Savings Time update that reflects the changes to the United States, Canada, and Mexico’s DST periods (which begins three weeks earlier this year). Microsoft is offering the update for Windows Mobile 5.0 and 2003 devices. The download is available in both self-install CABs, or with a desktop installer for use when syncing.

Users of Pocket PC 2002 devices will have to manually change the clocks (twice since the time will still forward April 1). Microsoft cautions that these released updates will have to be re-installed in the event of a hard reset. Windows Mobile 6 and Windows Vista do not require any updates, Windows XP and earlier users should run Windows Update to install a similar DST update.
