During its Build developer conference, Microsoft made much ado about the Summer launch window for Windows 10, but when it came to a confirming a similar launch window for the rechristened Windows Mobile 10, the company remained steadfast in avoiding confirmation of a similar launch window, as executive Joe Belfiore alluded to why when speaking to press on the subject:
“Our phone builds have not been as far as long as our PC builds. We’re adapting the phone experiences later than we’re adding the PC experiences.”
While speculation is rampant that Windows Mobile 10 will launch this Fall, even that isn’t a certainty, as Microsoft is still updating the Windows Mobile 10 Technical Preview builds, with the latest build release scheduled to be pushed out within the first two weeks of May, and still in such a state that the first Release Candidate wouldn’t logically be available until some time later this Summer, well after Windows 10 for PC begins its expected rollout.
