Virgin and Boost Mobile have officially announced their respective service plans for WiMax going forward with no major changes to their service plans.
Boost Mobile: Boost will continue to offer its Android Monthly Unlimited plan with its Shrinkage policy, which discounts the monthly fee by $5 for every six months of on-time payments. Boost will launch the HTC EVO Design 4G for $299.99 on May 31st. The Android Monthly Unlimited Plan will now include support for WiMax devices automatically and current rates will remain as they are listed, with no major changes. The EVO Design 4G features Android Ice Cream Sandwich and the latest version of HTC’s Sense and also adds the following features:
- 1.2GHz processor
- 5MP rear-facing camera/camcorder with flash and HD video recording and 1.3MP front-facing camera for video chat
- Stereo Bluetooth
- Visual Voicemail
- Wi-Fi hotspot capable
- microSD slot for up to 32GB (2GB card included.)
Virgin Mobile: Virgin will be launching the HTC EVO V 4G on May 31 for $299.99, with no changes to its current slate of Beyond Talk plans, which still start at $35 a month with the first 2.5GB of data at full speed before throttling on 3G and 4G service. The EVO V 4G is the Virgin Mobile version of the HTC EVO 3D released by Sprint with major differences including shipping with the latest version of Sense and being the first HTC device on Sprint to ship with Ice Cream Sandwich

Virgin Mobile is also adding the Overdrive Pro 3G/4G mobile hotspot and U600 3G/4G USB Stick to its Broadband2Go service, also with no changes to monthly rates. Both the Overdrive Pro and the U600 will cost $149.99 and $99.99, respectively while including mobile hotspot support in its Beyond Talk plans.
