Verizon has rolled out a new update for the now discontinued BlackBerry Storm 2 that fixes various issues and adds further enhancements. Improvements center on faster startup, smoother handoffs between coverage areas, improved audio on voice calls and DRM video as well as improved video playback via headset and media files with DRM.
Enhancements consist of sending text messages to multiple recipients while receiving a call, entering more than 160 characters in a text message when connected to a GSM/UMTS network, widget support from V CAST Apps and access to multiple quick access widgets along with smoother activation of enterprise secure wipe/lock IT policy sets.
