Verizon Refreshes Certified Pre-Owned Devices with Galaxy S III, iPhone 4

Got unlimited data on Verizon? The full cost of these two devices just went down a bit… if you’re willing to go refurb.
We’re keen watchers of the Verizon Wireless Certified Pre-Owned device lists. It is, after all, the only way to get an affordable deal on a no-contract device from Verizon. And, if you’re on unlimited, unthrottled, uncapped grandfathered unlimited data… that matters.

As you may know, Verizon will not allow you to keep grandfathered unlimited 3G/4G smartphone data, when signing a new contract. Verizon’s replacement CPO program offers a select set of refurbished/recertified devices that do not require a new contract.

This week’s new batch of devices finally tips the scales back into the modern era. Additions include the iPhone 4 (8GB), LG Spectrum, and Samsung Galaxy S III (16GB). The iPhone is available in both black and white, and the Galaxy S III is available in both blue and white.

While iPhone 4’s $349 price tag may not be too appealing compared to the used market on eBay, and other sites, it is $100 below the standard retail price for an iPhone 4. Samsung’s Galaxy S III hits a more sweet spot at $419.99, which is better for a top-tier device like Galaxy S III, which commands over $500 typically in good-as-new condition on auction sites like eBay.

Finally, Novatel Wireless MiFi 4620L 4G LTE Jetpacks, which we recently reviewed, can be purchased for $189.99 in CPO trim. While that is above market price in the second-hand market, it is an easy way to get a good deal for your company, and have Verizon put the device charge on your company’s account.
