Verizon has made a huge mistake sure to result in returns and confusion for customers. On their Samsung u740 Promo Site, they heavily tout the SCH-u740’s “Bluetooth Stereo Headset Capabilities”. The phone is featured with A2DP status and is even wrapped around a pair of LG A2DP headphones.
Problem is, the u740 doesn’t have A2DP. It doesn’t broadcast an A2DP profile nor was it Bluetooth-qualified for A2DP. This appears to be a miss-communication between Verizon marketing and engineering. While the u740 was slated originally to have A2DP (in order to gain competitive advantage over Motorola’s RAZR family)… the phone never had final A2DP support.
