Internal Verizon documentation has confirmed that the carrier will be making substatial changes to its longstanding upgrade policy this year beginning January 16th.
First, Early Annual Upgrades will be eliminated as a part of its new policy for those customers under 2 year agreements. Early Annual Upgrades are defined as full upgrades during months 13-20 of the agreement.
Second, the longstanding New Any Two program will be completely eliminated after January 16th after being substantially diminished in terms of credit value and qualification requirements last year.
In exchange, Verizon is opening up new customer pricing and included special offers to all customers regardless of contract term, possibly due to years of complaints from long-term customers that new customers were regularly receiving better offers and discounts.
