Verizon has officially announced the launch of the Motorola Xoom Android Honeycomb tablet for this Thursday, February 24th at $599.99 with a new 2 year agreement and required 2GB data plan or $799.99 without an agreement.
The Motorola Xoom features a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 10.1-inch capacitive display at 1280×800 resolution, while 4G LTE connectivity will be made available as an update in Q2. Other specs include a 5.0 megapixel camera, 720p video recording and 1080p video playback, 802.11n WiFi radio, Bluetooth 2.1, and 32GB of on-board storage. The battery is rated to be capable of 10 hours of video playback on a single charge.
