As expected, Verizon has launched the successor to the XV6800 in the Verizon variant of the HTC Touch Pro known as the XV6850.
The spec sheet for the device is nearly identical to the Sprint version save for the switch from the 7501A chipset with 288 MB of RAM to the 7500A with 192MB of RAM, and features a large 2.8 inch touchscreen display with VGA resolution, TouchFLO 3D user interface, hardware sliding QWERTY keyboard, voice dialing and voice control,, 1xEVDO Rev. A packet data, Internet Explorer Mobile, Wi-Fi radio, A-GPS support via VZNavigator, VZAppStore access, 3.2 megapixel camera with video recorder and flash, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, and microSDHC expansion slot.
The device is now available for $539.99 Month-to-Month, $489.99 after a new 1 year agreement, or $419.99 after a new 2 year agreement before an additional $70 mail-in rebate, bringing the totals to $419.99 and $349.99 respectively.
