Verizon Launches VX9800m

Verizon and LG have updated "The V" handset, otherwise known as the LG VX9800m. The "m" is for multimedia, courtesy of VCAST—Verizon’s over-the-air video and music service, which is now included in the firmware. VZ Navigator— which gives turn-by-turn directions and mapping is also a new feature..

Verizon still lists that this phone can play MP3s from your own collection; this remains to be seen, however you can transfer your collection to the phone via Windows Media Player 10 if you convert them to WMAs first.

Still included is Bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel camera, MiniSD flash memory slot, EVDO data access, and of course that lovely QWERTY keyboard that makes this a Sidekick alternative.

The V can be had for $249.99 outright, or $149.99 with a 2 year contract.
