Verizon today internally launched the Samsung i730, their XDAIII-like competitor that will eventually be upgradeable to Windows Mobile 5.0. Some rumors indicate Sprint PCS will also eventually carry this device. An internal Verizon launch does not mean consumers will immediately be able to order the device, generally business customers get first pick followed by consumers.
Also today, Verizon launched EV-DO coverage in the greater Seatlle, Washinton area, as well as improving other EV-DO coverage areas.
