Following up on the launch of Push to Talk for the rest of the BlackBerry lineup, Verizon has announced the launch of Push to Talk service for the BlackBerry Tour 9630.
The service requires activation on a plan with Push to Talk service included as well as BIS/BES access and an additional application download. Verizon is also offering three free months of Push to Talk service for new BlackBerry customers that purchase and activate devices with a qualifying service plan.
In related news, Verizon has also rolled out BlackBerry OS 5.0 to all Tour users in order to take advantage of the new functionality along with improvements to the camera, calling functionality, messaging and Bluetooth.
