Verizon Wireless has launched the LG Octane and Pantech Crux mid-range handsets. The Crux is a full touchscreen device from Pantech, featuring a 3.0 inch display with a virtual QWERTY keyboard, a bundled 1GB microSD card with support for up to 32GB cards, full HTML Web browser along with media player. The LG Octane is landscape clamshell featuring dual displays in the vein of the enV series, QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2-megapixel camera with video recorder, microsSDHC slot, Visual Voicemail and a full HTML Web browser.
Pricing for the Crux is set at $99.99 with a new 2-year agreement before a $50 mail-in rebate bringing the total to $49.99 and the LG Octane will be $149.99 on contract before a $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $99.99.
