Following up on yesterday’s report regarding Clearwire’s spectrum auction first reported by Bloomberg and Reuters on Tuesday, Verizon Wireless spokesperson Nancy Stark has denied that the wireless carrier is participating in the auction, refuting the original report. Clearwire is seeking enough funding to complete the rollout of its WiMax network and short-term operations which it expects to achieve through a debt equity sale or the spectrum auction, valued at $5 billion.
