Verizon Announces LG Optimus as Vortex

Verizon has officially announced the Thursday launch of its LG Optimus variant as the LG Vortex for $179.99 after a new 2 year agreement before an additional $100 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $79.99.

The Vortex features Android 2.2, a 600MHz chipset, 3.2-inch 320 x 480 LCD capacitive touch display, Wi-Fi radio, A-GPS support, Bluetooth with stereo audio support along with a 3.0 megapixel camera.The Verizon version will also support mobile hotspot service and the $15/150MB data plan.
