Verizon Announces First Open Development Certified Device, Remote System

In a press release posted on the Open Development page from Verizon Wireless, Schaumburg, Illinois based SupplyNet, a manufacturer and developer of inventory logistics systems primarily used in wholesale and retail applications, has announced that its wireless inventory telemetry system known as Prophet and the sibling hosted system known as TankLink have been certified for use on the Verizon Wireless network.

The SupplyNet telemetry solution is completely wireless and battery operated, or battery backed-up to minimize any dependencies on infrastructure. The system allows suppliers of bulk materials to securely monitor inventories at customer locations and receive alerts when specific inventory levels are reached.
