As expected after months of anticipation, U.S. Cellular has launched its second Android device in the CDMA version of the HTC Desire. The HTC Desire features an S-LCD display in lieu of its originally specified AMOLED display as well as the 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor running Android 2.1, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, microSDHC expansion slot, Wi-Fi radio and 5.0 megapixel camera with LED flash.
The device is available for $269.99 after new 2 year agreement before an additional $70 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $199.95.
