Cingular Nokia N80 Approved – Without UMTS 850

PCS Intel broke news that Cingular would not be launching all UMTS phones with UMTS dual-band support, today, FCC documents confirm that. Cingular+AT&T: Department of Justice Approves Merger

Cingular+AT&T: FCC Approves AT&T Wireless Merger Plan

While we don’t like chatting much about the procedures regarding the AT&T Wireless and Cingular merger, the FCC has officially approved Cingular’s plan to assimilate the two company’s assets and spectrum. This was a one of the more major hurdles of the merger, the last remaining being approval from the Department of Justice.
