T-Mobile MVNO GIV Mobile Realigns Service Plans

By Humberto Saabedra on August 8, 2014

GIVMobileLogoT-Mobile powered and charity focused MVNO GIV Mobile has realigned its service plans this week, with even lower-cost options and increased data allotments.

Starting with the newest plan at $29/month, the plan includes unlimited talk, text and 2G EDGE data at 128Kbps plus a $2.50 international calling credit. The next plan now starts at $35/month and features unlimited talk, messaging and data with the first 500MB at high speeds plus a $5 international calling credit. The plan was previously priced at $40 monthly.

The next plan to get a price reduction now starts at $45/month with unlimited talk, text and data and the first 2GB at high speeds plus a $5 international calling credit. This plan was previously priced at $50 monthly. Finally, the last plan is also new at $65/month with unlimited talk, messaging and data with the first 4GB at high speed plus a $10 international calling credit. In a major difference to T-Mobile’s directly operated prepaid brands in GoSmart and MetroPCS, the above plans feature unlimited international messaging, support for conditional call forwarding and non-premium short code support.

As can be deduced from the name, GIV Mobile donates 8% of each user’s monthly plan cost to one or more charities that the user selects from a pre-screened list of approved charities with users being able to give their percentage to one or more charities.
