T-Mobile has launched the messaging oriented LG DoublePlay Android smartphone online today as part of their participation in promoting the LG-sponsored National Texting Championships. The LG DoublePlay features a sliding split QWERTY keyboard with a secondary display between both halves, Android Gingerbread, 5.0 megapixel camera with 720p video capture and face tracking, 2GB internal memory with microSD slot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi N radio, and Snapdragon processor. Pricing is set at $149.99 after new 2 year agreement before an additional mail-in rebate. Â The phone will see a wider release through T-Mobile sales channels on November 2nd.
