T-Mobile officially shedded some light on the new Sidekick 3 today.
Although the new specifications have been known for weeks, it’s still impressive— changes include bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel camera with flash, MiniSD card slot, removeable battery, and support now for AIM, MSN, and Yahoo Instant Messaging networks. Perhaps the best known feature is the old jogdial has been dropped in favor of a miniscule trackball. This Sidekick also kicks the data rates up a notch; it will run on T-Mobile’s EDGE network.
Current T-Mobile customers can get their upgrades starting June 28th; the general public can grab one after July 10th. T-Mobile hasn’t mentioned any priceing details as of this writing.
