T-Mobile employees have confirmed to PhoneNews.com that the Samsung T929 Memoir and the BlackBerry Curve 8900 will be launched on the carrier in Februrary of next year, with a date for both set on the 18th of the month.
The Samsing T929 Memoir is a variant of the Samsung M8800 Pixon with an 8.0 megapixel camera, ISO control, face detection, xenon flash, and optical zoom along with 3G access, TouchWiz user interface and a WQVGA resistive touchscreen display.
Pricing is expected to be set around $150 higher than the Behold after new 2 year agreement and rebate, reflecting the deeper subsidies on 3G handsets in order to spur sales. Â
The BlackBerry Curve 8900 will be released on the same day and will be identical to the Bold save for the absence of 3G access, with pricing expected to be in line with current models.  PhoneNews.com confirmed in August that a version of the 8900 would be released in 2009 on both AT&T and T-Mobile reflecting the specific featuresets that each carrier asks for in devices,  such as  GPS and Wi-Fi access respectively.
your title says samsung Renoir but your actual article says Memoir, what will be the actual name.
Sorry about that, I was typing too quickly when typing the headline. To clarify the name of the T929, the phone is using the internal code name Leica as in the expensive high-end photography brand. The phone will be marketed and sold as the Memoir.
renoir is actually LG’s 8mp camera mobile.. check it out i think its nice too but im not sure what da differences between da devices are.
