During a press event in Manhattan, Sprint and Motorola have jointly announced the Photon 4G smartphone with a dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 processor, 16GB on board memory, support for 32GB microSD cards, 1GB of RAM, 4.3-inch qHD display, kickstand, 8 megapixel camera main camera with HD video capture and front-facing camera for as well as the docking port for the lapdock as found on the AT&T ATRIX 4G, making this the CDMA version of the aforementioned phone. The phone will be launched later this summer along with the Virgin Mobile Triumph as well as the previously announced Titanium.
The Virgin Mobile Triumph (pictured right) will be Virgin Mobile’s first high-end smartphone with a 4.1 inch WVGA resolution display, 2GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM, 5.0 megapixel camera, A-GPS, WiFi N radio, Qualcomm MSM8655 Snapdragon processor and HDMI output along with a front facing camera for video calls. Pricing and launch details have yet to be confirmed.
Finally, I’ve been waiting for this day for a while I have the Optimus V even though it is a very good phone I love Virgin Mobile and always wanted something with about the same spec. as the Motorola Triumph. Can’t wait to get my hands on it.
