We have obtained information on three devices that will round out the Sprint’s upcoming voice-only phone push, set to fully launch early next year.
The three devices will all carry the 100 series, similar to Sprint’s recent push to have all launching EV-DO devices start with the number 9. This practice allows for easier marketing internally by telling sales reps “9 for EV-DO, 1 for voice-only”.
The three phones currently slated are the Samsung A120, UTStarcom CDM-105, and Sanyo 100. The Sanyo 100 may be a re-badged Sanyo 200, or, it may also add on an external caller ID display (similar to the Sanyo VI-2300).
