Sprint Prepaid Group Leaks: Boost BlackBerry Style, Beyond Talk Price Changes (Updated)

The internal Sprint Prepaid Group pdf for dealers has leaked for this month and has detailed forthcoming changes to the popular Beyond Talk service plans as well as new handsets and overall changes to plans. UPDATE: New Beyond Talk Plans Launch Date Confirmed 

Starting with the Triumph, pricing for the high-end Android smartphone has been confirmed at $299.99 with availability still set for July 19th. Pricing for the required Beyond Talk plans will be going up by $10 on the low end and go down by $5 on the high end, with the new pricing set at $35/$45/$55 per month, with BIS access now included in all plans instead of relying on the separate surcharge, making the unlimited option easier to manage with a BlackBerry compared to previous pricing. The adjustments will go into effect on the day after the Triumph launches on July 20, with the email confirmation from customer care found below. Virgin Mobile will also grandfather customers on previous Beyond Talk plans for the life of the account.

Rather than imposing limits and overage charges on data plans for wireless phones Virgin Mobile has changed the pricing structure of our plans so all smartphones will pay the same.

As of July 20, 2011, new Virgin Mobile customers will be activated on the new plans while existing Beyond Talk customers will be able to stay on their current plans. Since you and your wife are already enrolled in this plan your monthly fee will not change unless you decide to change plans.

The PayLo entry-level prepaid offering will be getting a limited time allowance increase on the $30 rate plan, with an extra 1000 voice minutes and 1000 messages (text/IM/MMS) for the same $30 monthly rate as well as the current 30MB of data access already offered on the plan

Boost Mobile will be launching a branded version of the BlackBerry 9670 Style clamshell BlackBerry smartphone for $199.99 plus tax this month and will be preloaded with BlackBerry 6. Features are otherwise identical to the version launched on Sprint last year with a full QWERTY keyboard, QVGA resolution outer display and HVGA resolution internal display, 5.0 megapixel camera with flash, autofocus and video capture, microSDHC expansion slot with pre-installed 8GB card and Wi-Fi radio.

Boost Mobile will also be making changes to its International Connect add-on by adding unlimited landline calling to all of Mexico beginning on July 7th and running through the month of August, along with unlimited international texting on the $10 international Connect Plus plan. Current customers with the promotional $5 International Connect add-on that were grandfathered after April 6th will be able to to take advantage of the new offering by calling customer service on those days that the offer is active and moving to the new plan code for unlimited landline calls to Mexico or moving to the $10 offering for unlimited international text.
