Sprint today announced their first WiMAX deployments, set to launch before the end of the year. Chicago and Washinton D.C. will be the first Sprint city-wide deployments. This timeframe is accelerated from the previous timeline of a 2008 launch for WiMAX.
In addition, Sprint set a goal of covering 100 million people by the end of 2008 with WiMAX.
