Sprint Increasing Restocking Fee to $35 on Exchanges for New Customer Accounts on April 19th

Following up on the changes to device repair policies on Sprint, new customers that wish to trial the carrier via the 30 day policy will be now be forced to pay a $35 restocking fee if they decide to either exchange an activated device for a different model or a different color of the same model.

The reasoning behind the restocking fee as stated by employees and reps is to charge customers that return equipment for exchange and are missing necessary accessories, thus charging the customer for those accessories.

Initially, the restocking fee was set at $25 but it was largely ignored in practice according to this post made by an employee, with the new fee marking a $10 increase.
