Sprint Cuts Prices, Offers Service Credits to New Customers

Just a few weeks after the official launch and release of the Samsung
Upstatge, Sprint has reduced the price of the phone to $99.99 after
signing a 2 year agreement (even offering a free 1GB memory card for new online activations.) along with price drops for the M610 and
BlackBerry 8703 to $130 and $150 respectively, as well as offering a
$50 service credit for Power Vision enabled phones online.

The price changes come as Sprint is making moves to get more consumers
to use its music store by reducing the price of individual tracks to
$0.99 and attempts to gain marketshare from competitors Cingular and
Verizon, with the price drop for the 8703e likely coinciding with the
release of the 8830 in July.
