Sprint Samsung Epic Touch 4G

Sprint has announced its variant of the Samsung Galaxy S II as the Epic Touch 4G. The phone will be launched on September 16th for $199.99 after new 2 year agreement. The phone can be pre-ordered beginning tomorrow morning with the purchase of a $50 Sprint Gift Card, though it is unclear whether other retailers will be participating in the pre-order program. · Samsung Exynos™ 1.2GHz dual-core processor
· Super AMOLED Plus 4.52-inch touchscreen
· Android™ 2.3 Gingerbread
· 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot, supporting up to eight Wi-Fi enabled devices on Sprint 3G or 4G
· Visual Voicemail support
· Enterprise functionality provides support for exchange device management policies, offers increased security of data and services and enables mobile conferencing
· MicroSD® card slot that supports up to a 32GB memory card
· Voice Talk allows users to give their Epic 4G Touch voice commands, including voice dial, text message, navigation, music, Web browsing and search
· Built-in Task Manager enables users to view and close the applications they have active and any items that have been downloaded and to check on memory usage via the Task Manager widget
·Built-in  screen capture feature allows screen grabs of the phone screen by pressing the power button and the home key simultaneously
· Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface
· Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/a radio
• Dual cameras: 8.0 megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus and flash, HD video capture at 1080p high profile and 2.0 megapixel front facing camera
• Samsung Media Hub
• Samsung Social Hub allows users to transfer email, instant messaging, contacts, calendar and social network connections, including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts, into “Feeds” and “Messages” folders that can be either put into separate tabs or combined into comprehensive lists.

• Sprint applications, including Sprint Zone, Sprint TV & Movies®, Sprint Navigation and NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile
· Display: 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus (800×480 WVGA) touchscreen

· Processor: Samsung Exynos™ 1.2GHz dual-core

The Epic Touch 4G will be the first Samsung Galaxy S II phone released in the US featuring Samsung’s own Exynos dual-core processor, as international versions of the phone feature either the Exynos processor or a heavily modified Nvidia Tegra 2 based SoC dependent on market. It will also deviate from the international reference version with a slightly larger 4.52 inch display, although it will remain at the same WVGA resolution as the 4.3 inch version.
