Sprint has confirmed dates for the roll out of the Android Gingerbread update on the HTC EVO 4G via its Twitter account. The manual update will be available starting tomorrow Friday via the Check for Updates option on phones, while the first wave of over the air updates will start next Monday. The version of Android Gingerbread will be version 2.3.3, in keeping with currently available builds as with all Android Gingerbread updates pushed by carriers.
The update restores HTC EVO 4G’s ability to sync multiple Gmail accounts, display email attachments in the email client and fixes battery life issues among other additions and fixes, with the full changelog available tomorrow.
Just did a check for manual update and its now downloading.
Its GB with old sense. Getting the new kernel was the best part for sense 3.0 roms!!!
I’ve been checking every few hours and STILL no update for my phone! Is this a staggered rollout, or should it be available for all EVOs?
