Another tip sheet, this time from someone who wishes to remain a bit more anonymous, hit read more to read it all. As before, this is a collection of tidbits of information that is either new or fell through the headlines.

SMS:
It’s now pretty much confirmed that if you had Vision at the beginnning of February, that you are grandfathered into unlimited SMS for as long as you keep Vision on your plan. If you change Vision plans/packs you may lose this though, so we’re working on confirmation of how that situation will play out.
Receipients of SMS messages from other carriers will be charged. It is unclear if SMS/Notifications that originate from a computer will also be billed, though it appears that it is unlikely they will be.

Sierra AirCard 550 – To be phased out this month, will remain available to business customers
AirPrime PC3200 – To be phased out this month
Sanyo 4900 – Completely out of stock, totally discontinued
Sanyo 5300 – Completely discontinued, remaining stock sent to Radio Shack
Sanyo 8100 – To be discontinued in May
Samsung A600 – To be phased out at the beginning of the second quarter
Hitachi G1000 – To be phased out this month

AirPrime PC3300 – Upgrade of PC3200
Sanyo 4920 – Coming in May
Sanyo 7300/RL7300 – Coming at end of March
Sanyo 8200 – Will be available at end of March in Red, Silver, and Blue colors

Samsung A700 – Not to be carried (Editors Note: I’m skeptical of this, why would Sprint even comment internally about a phone that had only arrived in their testing labs?)
Curitel/Audiovox 8450/VI600 – Coming end of this month
