Engadget Mobile reports that the Samsung U940 offering on Verizon’s network has been renamed from “Q-Ball” to “Glyde” with a targeted launch date in March. It is unknown at the moment whether the Glyde will be running the updated Samsung TouchWiz software that debuted at Mobile World Congress last week.
For those that missed out on the MWC, Phonescoop has a thorough play-by-play video on the updated Samsung user interface demonstrating the new widget system as well as expanded options making this operating system a veritable competitor. TouchWiz is based on the previously rushed release of the Samsung Croix interface that debuted at last year’s 3GSM introduction of the Samsung Armani Phone.
is this no longer slated for sprint as well?
the phone possibly could come to sprint. But sprint is getting a similiar samsung phone, minus the slide out keyboard.
