Following days of anticipation and demand from those in the US expecting the long awaited Samsung Galaxy Nexus to launch on Verizon this month following its launch confirmation at last month’s launch event, Samsung has confirmed that Verizon’s version of the phone will begin shipping next month with no immediate explanation regarding the delay.
Though Samsung has refused to officially confirm why the Verizon version of the phone has been delayed, recent issues with the European version involving volume control suggest that both Verizon and Samsung are working in the background to quietly fix any last minute bugs before launching and shipping the device to customers, even if it means delaying the device from its target launch window.
As this also marks Verizon’s first official release of a Google Nexus device following the planned launch and cancellation of the Nexus One, both Verizon and Samsung are presumably taking every step to ensure the success of the Galaxy Nexus launch as the holiday season launch is crucial to the success of the phone.
