RIM Officially Announces BlackBerry Curve

RIM today officially announced the BlackBerry 8300 Curve. Being touted
as the QWERTY version of the consumer oriented Pearl, the Curve adds
additional consumer oriented features to appeal to multimedia oriented
consumers.

The Curve features a 2.0 megapixel camera with 5x digital zoom, flash,
and fullscreen viewfinder, with a large landscape QVGA display, media
player with included management software developed in cooperation with
Roxio (Roxio Media Manager for BlackBerry), microSD expansion slot,
3.5mm jack for full size headphones, Bluetooth 2.0, quadband GSM/EDGE
support (850/900/1800/1900), speaker independent voice command and
dialing, full HTML browser and RSS reader on top of its standard
messaging suite of email, instant, SMS/MMS, and two way messaging with
support for Lotus/GroupWise/Domino and Exchange systems.

The device is expected to be available on AT&T sometime later
this Spring with no exact date given.
