PalmCentral Releases GPS Fix Beta App for Verizon Palm Pre, Pixi Plus

imagePalmCentral has released a new beta application in the Palm BetaFeed for the Verizon Palm Pre which activates and maintains the aGPS radio connection to use the radio in third-party navigation apps besides the pre-loaded VZNavigator application.

The application does address a tedious workaround for GPS activation whereby VZNavigator would be launched to activate GPS functionality, at the cost of battery life as the connection is constantly pinged at selectable intervals and kept running as a background process.
