Adobe has announced that the Palm Pre will be the latest device to support the Flash platform as a part of the Open Screen initiative to seamlessly bridge information and multimedia across computers, mobile phones, and other devices without resorting to using custom versions for each platform.
Flash Player for the Pre and other smart devices is expected to be available in late 2009.

When is the Pre going to be available?
It will be available 5/10/2009
within the next 6 months for sure. But there is no release date set as of yet.
Well, that sounds terrific. I wonder how many flash sites will really work properly on it. There are a lot of flash apps, some more demanding than others. But its definitely a move in the right direction and a competitive advantage over the iPhone, iF they manage to bring to market before next-gen iPhone steals their thunder. Apple won’t sit still.
