Palm finally released their Palm Desktop Suite by ACCESS 6.2 for Windows as well as HotSync Manager 7.0 earlier this week. More importantly, this large update now supports Microsoft’s Windows Vista. Upgrades include an Integrated Desktop which supports all Palm OS devices from 3.5.x through 5.4.x, HotSync enhancements no longer requiring the need for a local installation of Palm Desktop, multilingual support, Outlook 2007 synchronization, as well as a new Install Tool. Palm devices that are supported in this upgrade are the Palm Centro, Treo 755p, 700p, 680 as well as the 650.
There are a few features that have been taken out so you might want to head over to the install page and read up prior to upgrading. According to Palm, third party software might have to be re-installed as well. Also of importance is the fact that 64-bit Editions of Windows Vista are not supported.
