Opera has released a finalized version of their new Opera Mini browser for J2ME phones. The free browser offers a compact and optimized view of standard web pages thanks to Opera’s proxy servers. PCS Intel forum members have participated in a private beta test to ensure Opera Mini works with Sprint phones, but Opera Mini should work with most MIDP 1.0 and 2.0 phones.
This follows the release last week of a Pocket PC beta version of the Opera for Windows Mobile browser. You can download Opera Mini by pointing your phone to mini.opera.com and following the instructions there. PCS Intel beta testers should also download the final version which will replace any beta installed on their phones.
