Nokia N82 Now Officially Available To American Customers

Nokia’s current top end camera-focused superphone — the Nokia N82 — has been made officially available for purchase by Americans, as indicated by its presence on Amazon and Buy.com.

N82 leads the pack in camera quality amongst not only Nokia’s Nseries line, but among all GSM camera phones. N82’s camera features a 5 megapixel sensor, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, a true xenon flash, sliding lens cover, and one-touch upload support for services like Flickr and Vox. These specifications trump even Nokia’s highly-anticipated N96 (lacking a xenon flash), unveiled at Mobile World Congress. N82 also comes equipped with WiFi B/G, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, 128MB RAM, and the S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 operating system.

N82’s availability through big name online retailers comes as a sigh of relief to prospective U.S. buyers, as the phone will come bearing an American version of its firmware and, importantly, a Nokia USA warranty. Checking in at $498.99, N82 represents a whole lot of value compared against other Nseries and Eseries offerings.

Update: Please note that this phone cannot take advantage of high-speed UMTS networks in the United States. The phone is limited to GSM/EDGE speeds in the United States.

I think this phone personally is priced very poorly. At $489.99, that’s only $10 than a Nokia N95-3.

For that $10 more, you get U.S. UMTS & HSDPA, as well as a 5 MP digital camera. It seems like a no-brainer to go with the N95-3 if you’re a U.S. customer.

I find your Nokia N82 very expensive. Can I have a new brand with low price?

Do you have any available double sim card Nokia for the GSM system?
