Update: In a report filed by Reuters, Nokia has confirmed the 5800 will launch first in emerging markets within India, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Russia and Spain by the end of the year with the rest of the mature wireless marketplace not seeing the phone until next year, as analysts cite the advantage that Nokia has in emerging and underserved markets typically ignored by other major manufacturers.

The 5800 XpressMusic features the first WVGA (640×360) resistive touchscreen display ever found on a Nokia Series 60 device, and is also the first device that will launch with Series 60 5th Edition which enables support for more resolutions, touch displays, and other improvements.
The complete featureset includes quadband EDGE/GSM, dualband W-CDMA with HSDPA support, Wi-Fi radio, built-in GPS transceiver with A-GPS support, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, microSDHC slot, microUSB port, 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, video recorder, and Carl Zeiss optics.
The 5800 is expected to be released later this quarter with no US pricing information available at this time. In related news, Nokia also announced that it will bring both the Comes With Music subscription service and the bespoke version of the 5800 enabled with the service along with the N95 and 5610 next year to the US.
