Motorola Rolling Out Atrix 4G Gingerbread Update via Manual Updater

After months of anticipation, Motorola has begun its rollout of the Android Gingerbread update for the Atrix 4G via manual updater.

The update pushes the phone from version Blur_Version.4.1.83.MB860.ATT.en.US to Blur_Version.4.5.91.MB860.ATT.en.US, which features third party app install support as well as sideloading support.

The update is also the first official carrier branded update to feature an unlocked bootloader, meaning that the previous leaked builds were earlier versions of the final build.

    Thanks for the news. The Motorola update is an improvement from version 4.1.83 to 4.5.91. Very useful information.
