Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha has stated that the resurgent manufacturer is reconsidering Windows Phone device development after initially halting development due to Microsoft’s delays in delivering Windows Phone 6.5 and Phone Series 7.
Motorola also halted development of its own internally developed Linux-based, Symbian and Windows Mobile devices due to a lack of R&D capital in 2008 shortly after Jha took the position of CEO in order to focus solely on development of devices based on the Android operating system as a measured risk, which resulted in the successful CLIQ for T-Mobile and the Motorola DROID for Verizon.
