In a press release ahead of next week’s WiMax World industry event, Motorola has announced the forthcoming launch of the USBw100 WiMax adapter intended for desktops and laptops without internal radios.
The adapter features support for WiMax on the 2.3, 2.5, and 3.5 Ghz bands used widely around the world and features a multiple antenna design that is best optimized when paired with its Diversity Access Point (DAP)/Wireless Access Point dual antenna base stations as well as GPS support.Â
The device is expected to be available in the 4th quarter of the year with no pricing details at this time.
