The Isis mobile payment initiative has announced that it has added three new credit card issuers in MasterCard (also a part of Google Wallet) Visa and American Express to its list of supported credit cards and payment systems. Discover/Novus had joined the initiative last year as a founding member.
This makes the Isis initiative the first major mobile payment system to support all of the major credit card systems in the US before its planned rollout in 2012 via trials in Salt Lake City Utah and Austin Texas. Carriers backing Isis with networking support and hardware include T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon Wireless.
