This morning during a press event, LG formally announced and unveiled two new mid-range Android devices as part of its new Optimus line in the Optimus One and Optimus Chic.
Both feature Android 2.2 and are underpinned by a 600MHz chipset, 3.2-inch 320 x 480 LCD capacitive touch displays, Wi-Fi radio, A-GPS support, Bluetooth with stereo audio support and FM radio. The main differences lie in the Optimus One’s 1500mAh battery compared to the 250mAh smaller battery in the Chic while featuring a lower resolution 3.0 megapixel camera compared to the Chic’s 5.0 megapixel unit.
Pricing and availability have yet to be confirmed with a target launch for Europe later this year.
